Claiborne County Schools

During the June 2017 Claiborne County School Board Meeting several schools and students were recognized for their achievements.
Claiborne High School Career and Technical Education students have recently won state titles and will advance on to the National Competition. These students will not only represent Claiborne High School, but the state of Tennessee, as well. Congratulations and good luck to all these students!!
- Family, Career and Community Leaders of America – Michelle McGeorge placed 1st in her division.
- Cosmetology – Carla Cinnamon, and model, Bethany Butcher
- Agriculture Mechanics – 4 person team, Stone Payne, Isaac Fugate, Makayla Rosenbalm, and Carly Sandifer
- Masonry- Christopher Parker
The Student School Board Members from each of our local high schools were honored for their dedication. They were presented with a plaque of appreciation from the board members. Corley Rodgers was the representative from Cumberland Gap High School and Sarah Bailey was the representative for Claiborne High School.
Three of our schools were honored for their achievements through the National Beta Club. These schools included: Springdale Elementary School, Soldiers Memorial Middle School, and Cumberland Gap High School. Springdale Elementary was also recognized for their outstanding attendance with 98.1 percent of students being in attendance during May.
